Our 2022 Summer Picnic is only one week away! Yep, on Thursday 28th July, you’re invited to join us at Crawfordsburn Country Park, Helen’s Bay, Bangor, for an afternoon in the sun..
Travelling to Crawfordsburn
You’re more than welcome to make your own way there, meeting us at the Woodland’s Café at 1.30pm. Alternatively, if you’d like to travel with us to Crawfordsburn you can meet us at the Skainos Centre at 12:45pm. From Skainos there will likely be a combination of car-pooling and/or travelling by train from the Titanic Quarter train station.
Trains run to Helen’s Bay (Bangor line) from Lanyon Place train station at 12 and 42 minutes after each hour, or from Titanic Quarter train station at 15 and 45 minutes after each hour – so there are regular rail options. From Helen’s Bay station, it’s an approximately 1 mile walk along Bridge Road and into the Country Park entrance to reach the Woodland’s Café.
Do I need to bring anything?
Yourself! The forecast is expected to be sun & clouds, with highs of 21 degrees Celsius, so sunglasses and sun lotion would be a smart choice. If you’re happy to do so, bring along something to share: that could be sandwiches, snacks, crisps, drinks, or even games and/or buckets and spade – the more the merrier!
What should I expect?
The chance to relax with good company in the great outdoors: no pressure, no stress. It’s a chance for us to get to know you better and vice versa. We’re expecting to remain there until around 5pm, and we’d love it if you could join us!
If you’re planning to come along, please do get in touch and let us know!
We hope to see you there!
