People all over Northern Ireland have added a few lines to our Longest Story Ever Told which is travelling from festivals to pop-ups, to open days, to corporate days. If your organisation is interested in having a Longest Story station at an event, please get in touch, or you can pop in to our creative writing centre in Connswater to add a line or two yourself.

The Longest Story Ever Told
Chapter 1: RAG Week, QUBSU, 8th March 2023
- It was a dark and stormy night outside the Lanyon Building
- When 2 men stumbled across the road
- They were seeking equal rights for all when...
- When they approached by...
- Two other men, determined to stop them...
- With the force of a whole army of solidiers and so the dance battle commenced...
- They popped and locked for equality...
- ‘Put the kettle on!’ shouted one man, mid mashed-potato
- ‘I shall bring this foolishness to an close!’ yelled a woman for justice, ‘with my signature move!’
- The death drop! SHANTAY YOU STAY!
- They proceded to dance in front of everyone
- Be like a family to your friends, a friend to strangers, & a stranger to your enemies
- When, suddenly, a mysterious woman appeared…
Chapter 2: Belfast City Council Lord Mayor's Day, 1, 2023
- And she says ‘STOP! You silly men! You’re not supposed to be out on the streets this late! It’s almost your bedtime, boys!’
- Suitably admonished, they retreated to the relative safety of Botanic Gardens. Or so they thought...
- For hidden in the confines of the tropical ravine lived the monster Belguine, from another dimension, lying in wait for his next victim. One of the boys went in...
- The monster was starting a vegetarian lifestyle this day. And when Belguine saw the boy coming in she got very hungry.
- Belguine saw a big monster it looked like a female it was white and black.
- The boys decided to touch her, to see what she felt like – she was fluffy like a lion, but she was really scary! They started to fight each other...
- Jitterbug arrived on this hovercraft and immediately was perturbed! Not by the monster’s reaction, but by the sudden change in temperature! His hovercat was exhausted and his day was done.
- But suddenly to Jitterbug’s relief a cow came out of nowhere. He would now live to see his daughter’s talent show...he really didn't want to!
- He went to the talent show. And there was a monster setting the place on fire. People were putting the fire out but...
- Monster run away and fly fly fly and reach to India and in India he giht with more bigger monster
- They all fight and then an orger comes they all kill it
- Migick man bring orger back to life and they fight again
- When monster gets angry and beheads a random person
- They kill the monster and the people die too they all dead
- The magic man returns and brings the people back to life!
- However, now they are no longer human and have beautiful fairy wings
- The wings were rainbow
- Took off with our wings where we met a magical unicorn being rode by a Princess called Grace and her friend Jessy.
- But things turned dark, out of the clouds came thunder, a fire breathing dragon. What would it do next?
- He flew to Hati and he died of too much sneezing and dancing what happened. He then became a ghost and then went to Rainbow Factory to play with the Rainbow Factory Ghost.
- He went to Primark and got fake eyelashes to look really cute.
- He became known as Belfast’s greatest drag ghost superstar, adored by everyone
- He goes on RuPaul’s Drag Race and wins before going to Tescos for ice cream
- The dragon got chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. The dragon saw a bunny and a fox...
- And saw Olivia Rodrigo with a goat floating above her head and Jason Derulo and Kim Kardashian
- And they saw a giant duck doing the hocky pocky and he turned himself around.
Chapter 3: NIMHAF Pencil Portal, 13th May 2023
- And saw a giant cloud of glittery smoke! Just then, he heard a big BANG and the dust cleared to reveal...
- Another BANG, then another BANG and another (four hours later) WOO! There was the ghost of...ELVIS
- The ghost then turned everyone into a sloth
- The sloths moved at a glacial pace toward a very comfortable looking tree. Until the tree started to talk...
- The tree is monster wait it is not tired good night bey
Chapter 4: NIMHAF Pencil Portal, 14th May 2023
- The tree loves to dance all night & being tired means his moves are...
- SICK, he can tell the sloths were amazed!
- He was proud that he was very good at dancing
- All of a sudden, there was a puff of smoke and an eerie laugh in the distance...
- There was a very tall figure in the distance and he said...
- MOOOOO said the figure
- Then the farmer greeted all of his cow friends
- Suddenly overhead appeared the biggest UFO ever seen with a ZAP a green beam appeared over the farmer’s head
- It slowly lifted up the farmer and when he got lifted up it slowly hovered towards a cow and flew a cow into the air
- Whilst the cow was flying suddenly a witch appeared with an enormous wart on her nose. She said ‘I’ll get you my pretty, and your massive cow too!’ to the farmer. It was mad.
Chapter 5: East Side Festival, 5th August 2023.
- It was mad.. How the cow escaped on the bus (3a).
- He met a hippo and went to the Strand Cinema
- And then had a popcorn and french fries
- And enjoyed the movie.
- They enjoyed their time with their friends.
- Ruby went to a birthday party with the hippo and they ate MORE popcorn.
- After the party they had fun playing football.

- A butterfly appeared and grew legs and nutmegged the keeper and turned back into a caterpillar.
- The unicorn got on the bus to buy ice cream
- Because it was very hot weather.
- A trial of dinosaurs
- Lead the way to a pink sparkly egg!
- There standing beside the was Froggy, unicorns' best friend.
- The egg hatched – there was a little chick, called Sparkles!
- Sparkles the chick liked school. Her favourite thing is flowers – roses!
- Sparkles has a best friend called Billy the Platypus.
- Sparkles and Billy loved building sandcastles and jumping the waves down at the beach.
- Suddenly, a dragon, blue little dragon, blew fire into the sky.
- The cloud got burnt. The fairy wing killed the cloud.
- Toys like cranes and dumper trucks are great!
- The fairy got magic powers and the fairy got rainbow powers..
- The dragon turned into Charizarde, the pokemon...
- I see a cat..
- Can you see the dog?
- I can, but can you see the frog?
- Then it started to rain
- As I got on my plane to Disneyland!
- And see the princesses...
- Then started to thunder and rain...
- Lightening struck on my house and I died.
- And went to heaven...
- I met an angel and went alive again.
- Then we met mickey mouse and he brought us on a ride and it broke down and we died again and in heaven mickey mouse then screamed..
