Belfast-based Daniel Paton is one of our newest volunteer recruits, supporting us for just over three months.
In that short time, he has loved seeing the engagement and excitement from the children as they create their story. At only his second in person workshop he saw how our creative writing processes develop and support children and young people. He was blown away by:
“Helping a couple of children develop their author biographies and seeing their confidence in writing grow even within one hour.”
Although he has several skills, Daniel admits to never having learned to ride a bike. He says ‘at this stage I’m not sure I want to’, however maybe one of our creative writing workshops featuring a central character with two wheels will convince him otherwise!
